Innocence
Protected
He watched her
closely,
from his spot
on the sand,
as she frolicked
in the water,
splashing water
with her hand.
She was a beauty,
hair haloed
by sunlight,
her wonderful
young body,
a pedophile's
pure delight.
Made a child
/ woman,
by the suit
that she wore,
in a thong
and a halter,
she paraded
the shore.
Oh this poor
little girl,
barely reaching
birthday 8,
dressed by
her parents,
as if she were
bait.
How can parents,
be so unaware,
when they dress
their child,
to make people
stare.
The monsters
of this world,
aren't hiding
under the bed,
they are where
children are,
their reach
is widespread.
So keep a watchful
eye,
don't put them
on display,
guard them
with your life,
keep them innocent
one more day.
