Dear Readers,

Well my mind is definitely busy tonight.  My head and heart are full of the memories my beautiful granddaughters have already made for me. Full of their laughter and their tears.

As I watch my grand children grow up it kicks me back to times when my own two daughters were growing.

So many things the grand kids say take me back to "I remember when"

My best friend became a gramma for the first time today. When her news came in my tears fell because it is so wonderful to be able to share in this with her.

It will be so terrific to be able to share gramma stories with her. We share so much already and now we get to share one of the most wonderful experience I have ever known. The beauty of grandchildren.

We can share the funny little things they come out with - the funny stances they take on when in a mood -the weird combinations of their outfits that they think are so utterly perfect - the utter horridness of not finding that favorite hat or the lucky coloured socks before a baseball game -- the icky ewwy things that turn up in the washer that were hidden in a pocket forgotten --

I phone Donna to tell her of my youngest granddaughter Justine's latest capers. I tell her the latest news and she laughs with me and honestly loves to hear all about it. I tell her why Justine is having "a bad day" or why she "just had to punch that boy" and we laugh like young girls.

I fill her in on why Justine thinks that she should never get married or how she is going to have a house with a bedroom for her pet dog Shakarm so he has a room of his own. Justine feels it is very important that Shakarm has his own bedroom for privacy. :)

We shake our heads every time my poor daughter has to take Justine to the emergency room for yet another mishap in her very tom boyish lifestyle.

As I tell Donna how Shantel just has to have her hair a certain way and who is "kewl" or "hot" or "boss" this week, she giggles along with me at the wonderment of youth. We shake our heads together over the latest styles that Shantel just "has" to have. We cluck our tongues at the fact that at 11 the girls are already afraid to walk out the door without makeup on.

With great excitement I scan and send her all kinds of pictures of my beautiful granddaughters and we oohhh and ahhh over them together. We comment on every detail of the event that surrounds the picture and what was said and what was done.

Of course she knows just what to say and how important every event is and how much more beautiful my granddaughters are then anyone else's. LOL  Ah don't all us grandmothers feel that way ? I am actually glad she has a grandson so there is no competition  LOL LOL  I just know her grandson will be the most handsome little boy in this entire world !!!!

I can't wait to hear what he does and how he does it !! I am looking forward to his first tooth and his first steps and his first words already. :)  I can't wait until he kicks her back to "I remember when" times for us to giggle over.

Ah yes " I remember when."  I could write a thousand pages on this topic but I will refrain :)

Instead I will extend my most deepest heartfelt congratulations to my sweet friend Donna on becoming the wonderful gramma I just know she is going to be.

until next time
hugs
Misker
