I was my Daddy's little girl and the love and closeness we shared still keeps me going today. I lost my Dad January 5, 1985. To this day I still hear his words of wisdom when I need them most. To all Daddy's little girls out there--know that I understand the empty spot within your heart if you have lost your Dad. This is what I put in the paper for my Dad.

My Sweet Father

Part of my heart has died today--But not the love I've had
I'm going to miss you terribly--I'm talking to you - Dad
You taught me well--what's right from wrong
You've stood behind me--my whole life long

I always knew that you were waiting there
No matter where I roamed--anyplace or anywhere
Your words of wisdom come to mind
When I am confused and life seems blind

The tenderness and love that you showed me Dad
The understanding and trust--we always had
The faith-the closeness-no one could know
How much I respected and loved you so

You helped me up--you taught me life
You showed me how to handle strife
So I will say my goodbyes--when I'm all alone
May you rest in peace--God has called you home
