To My Friends Old, New & Not Yet Met

If you are good at reading between the lines, this section of my site will give you an inner look at my heart and soul and what I believe in and try to live by. I fall short at times but seem to get back on the path just the same. In my own defense all I can say is that I try to live each day to the best of my ability and I try to treat everyone with the love and respect I wish to earn back. For love and respect are not just given freely...they are earned.

It Is My Belief

  • It is my belief that when you look into the eyes of an animal, you are looking into the eyes of God. An animal is the only creature on earth that will love you from the heart and soul no matter what you do. An animal will lick your hand with love no matter how cruel and insensitive you are. An animal forgives totally your indiscretions in life and loves you no matter how you look or feel. An animal asks so little of you and yet gives back so very much. When God created animals he created an excellent example for us to follow.
  • It is my belief that God gives us a heart and a brain but it is up to us how we choose to use it or abuse it. It is not God's fault when we mess up--it is our own--one rules the other and vice versa.
  • It is my belief that you get out of life what "You" put into it. "You" cannot ride on the coat tails of others and expect to get praise from what they accomplish. "You" deserve praise only for what you have done with your own two hands in this life.
  • It is my belief that our life is shaped and destined by how we handle the curves along the road we choose to travel. The road of life is never straight. It has lots of bends and twists and it is up to us which bend or twist we choose.
  • It is my belief that our "Family" is not necessarily whom we are born related to but whom we "Choose" to relate to throughout life and "Whom" we choose to surround our hearts with. Most of my "Family" are people I choose to call family and I rarely bother with my biological  family...this is by choice. You do not have to become what you were born into if it is not a good life. You have the power to become a better living person and pull yourself above your birth life.
  • It is my belief that our mistakes in life are our own crosses to bear and not the fault of others whom we might choose to blame. It is too easy to blame others for our own faults and shortcomings.
  • It is my belief that no one "Owes" us anything in  this world. The only person who "Owes" us anything is ourselves. "You will reap what you sow in life and "You" will suffer the consequences of your own actions.
  • It is my belief that how we treat the elderly is how we deserve to be treated when we become the elderly. If the modern world would take some old fashioned values we might have half a chance at survival. Remember, the elderly did it first...we came after.
  • I believe in a saying my dear mother taught me--Life is like a path of freshly driven snow, be careful where you walk, because every footprint shows. What you do in life follows you and sooner or later will become known when you least expect it. This I have learned from experience.
  • I believe that each of us has the power to be whatever we want to be and the power to do good instead of evil. It is only the difference in "wanting" to do what is right instead of being too lazy to do it...and the gumption to get off our butts and see it through.
  • I believe that the one person you have to believe in the most is yourself. If you do not believe in yourself...how can anyone else believe in you?
