| I am a 55 year old red headed
blue eyed country girl. I have rhumatoid arthritis in my hips and lower
spine. I also have fibromyalgia (chronic musculoskeletal pain). I
was born April 21 - 1952 in Guelph - Ontario - Canada.
I keep busy taking care of
4 developmeantally challenged adult family members. My Uncle Tommy, my
Aunt Barb, my brothers Billy and Cecil. My uncle Tommy is also physically
challenged. I love taking care of everyone and through these folks I have
learned how to take a second look at life. I now see the rainbows after
a storm and take delight in a baby bird or a fresh flower blossom, things
I missed during the years I worked outside of the home because I was to
busy to take the time to notice.
I have two beautiful, intelligent
daughters: Tonya and Rhonda.
Tonya is an Assisstant Administrator
of a funeral home and keeps busier then a bee. She raises my two gorgeous
granddaughters Shantel and Justine. Voodood and I have become closer
since I got connected to the internet and I think that is because we have
learned to be friends and never realized how much fun we both were when
we weren't being just mother and daughter. Thank you Tonya for introducing
me to a computer!!! Tonya was born July 19 - 1971.
Rhonda works at customs with
her own clientele and is as feisty as her red hair attests to. She is a
college graduate with a Human Resources degree and works hard at being
the best she can be in whatever she does. She is the mother of my grandson
Garret and my youngest granddaughter Bryanna. Rhonda was born September
12 - 1974.
I am so proud of my daughters
and feel so blessed that God gave me the pleasure of being their mother.
My grandchildren are the
sunshine of my world. if I had known grand kids were so wonderful i would
have had them first!!
Shantel, my oldest granddaughter,
is little miss perfectionist. Almost always the lady--notice I said almost--she
has her days. She sings her favorite hit of the moment to me whenever I
ask and even if I don't her hugs bring warmth to my heart and her smile
brings sunshine to my days. Shantel was born February 7 - 1989.
Justine, my second oldest
granddaughter, is our female "Dennis The Menace". I am not sure how many
parts of her wee body have been left without a scratch or a bruise but
I am sure that most of it has felt the wrath of her endeavors. With her
tousled curls and her sweet face she can melt the heart of a snowman. Her
"I luffs You Gramma" can get her almost anything she wants. Justine was
born February 23 - 1992.
Garret is my grandson. He
was born Feb.20 - 2003. He is most definitely my "main man". The sun rises
and sets on that little man. His smile captures my heart and brings me
such joy.
Bryanna my youngest granddaughter
arrived Feb. 26th - 2005 -- she is a beautiful baby girl and I think she
looks like an angel.
As I looked down at her sweet
face and realized that she is the last grandchild for me I thanked God
for allowing me to be a grandmother and to experience the wonderous joy
of their sweet smiles and the pleasure of being able to watch them grow.
Do I spoil my grandchildren??
Never !! Would I do that??
My favorite thing to do at
the end of my day is of course play in club pogo or visit online with friends.
I also love to read and I collect true life crime stories. I also collect
wolf and indian paraphernalia. I have many wolf prints and plates and statues.
I like to crochet and love to work with colours. I simply adore flowers
and love to see my yard bouncing in colourful blooms. My home is full of
plants and my brother threatens to take a machete to clear a pathway. (LOL)
I also love country music
and gospel music and 50's and 60's rock n roll.
Working with colours and
designs and making all my own stationary and cards is another one of my
hobbies.
One of my greatest loves
is my animals. I chose my online name, Misker, from my dear beloved spaniel.
He is gone now but his memory is alive always. My car plates say MISKER
and I get called Misker more than I get called Patsy.
I have two wonderful dogs,
Roni -Tawn and The Mighty Misk. I also have a parrot named Floyd and a
parrot named Bailey. He is a kissy face and will kiss me forever if I let
him (LOL). We must not forget my kitty Cali-Kat, who is a calico cat and
full of mischief. My greatest pleasure is to watch Cali-Kat, Roni-Tawn
and Misk wrestling and playing. They are full of pizz and vinegar and chase
each other everywhere!! Roni-Tawn is glued to me every where
I go and she sleeps with me and gets quite annoyed that I need room in
the bed to sleep in as well. Not only that, all she has to do is hear the
car keys jingle and she is there for a car ride and of course wants to
sit in my lap and have control of my driving. LOL. My love for animals
is deep rooted and I wish I owned a zoo !!
Well that is my life--what
more can I say?? I am content and peaceful and very thankful
to God for all my blessings.
I truely believe that through
God all things are possible and that a person should try to follow their
dreams as close as they can. |
