Family Of The Den
I did not write the passage
that follows below but I do feel it conveys exactly as I feel so I have
borrowed it to send out to you all. Please take care of yourselves and
of everything you hold dear. My heart breaks for everyone who has lost
loved ones and for the horrific things that have happened to all my American
friends and family. God Bless each and
every one of you and
please know that my thoughts and my prayers go to all.
I am a Canadian but my
heart is devastated for all of North America as it is my opinion that we
are all of one great country and I personally do not believe we are 2 countries
at all -- my belief is we are all one. As the Den-izen group leader I can
not even begin to find the words I truly wish to say to you all. Just know
that I am grieving with you and for you.
Love,
Misker
Be thankful for today.
YOU are alive to read this. Which means you have a new day to let your
family and friends know how much you care about them.
Please try to do this
today. Even if it's just a 30 second phone call to say I Love You. Hug
your spouse or partner as they walk out the door, hug them just a
bit longer. As your kids go to school, if they are going today, kiss them
one more time, tell them that you love them, always.
Make sure you are a bit
more caring towards people you might come in contact with today. So many
people have been lost, and millions mourn them.
If something else were
to happen in our country today would you be able to live knowing that you
spoke in anger, for a petty reason, to someone who might be gone. No, you
wouldn't.
Swallow your anger today.
Even if you can't be nice, at least be civil to people. It takes so little
to do that. And it means so much.
Continue to pray today,
in whatever way you do so. It's needed even more today because Hope now
has a shadow on it.
Do something kind for
a stranger today. Even if it's just holding a door.
Also please, please,
if you come in contact with our neighbors of the Muslim faith. Do not take
it out on them. Who has done this is not known for certain. And it's 99.9%
certain that person you might come in contact with, DID NOT do this.
Racism and Religious Intolerance
should have no place in a shattered world. Don't let it have a toehold
in YOUR life. This is now the time to put ALL of that behind us. We have
to go on and build a better day. It can be done and we will do it.
It doesn't matter if I've
ever seen you, hugged you or if we've just met over the net. Or even never
"met" at all. YOUR life is important to me. You have value, infinite value.
You are needed and cared for.
Rejoice, we have a new
day to give each other. To cry together and to care together.
